Self-paced Audio Tours: Tours are guided by our multi-media app and take approximately 45 minutes. Visitors are asked to complete their self-paced tours promptly by 5pm. Docent Led Tours: Daily at 10:30am, 12:30pm, and 2:30pm
Special Tour - EVERY TUESDAY AT 2:30: Enhance your museum tour by upgrading your ticket to include a special tour focused on the archaeology of the Revolutionary War trench in the museum's back lot. These will run every Tuesday at 2:30 throughout 2026. Tickets may be purchased at the door. ($25 pp - includes museum admission and special tour)

Group Tours:

The Nathaniel Russell House and the Aiken-Rhett House are open from 10 am to 4 pm Tuesday - Sunday and 1 pm to 4pm on Mondays. As several major waterfront redevelopment projects move forward in planning, it’s important that the Charleston community critically examine what is best for our unique environment and historic neighborhoods. In this free community event, this panel discussion will focus on the key ingredients to successful, world-class waterfront development, within the context of Union Pier. This event will provide an important opportunity for the community to hear from panelists about how to best promote an exciting vision for this incredible property at this juncture in the planning process. Moderated by Vince Graham, panelists include Mayor William Cogswell, architect and preservationist Christian Sottile, and renowned architect and urban designer Stefanos Polyzoides. Get involved and learn from important voices in our preservation community for this important, and timely, topic. Registration encouraged online.
