Historic District Walking Tour: Church Street

Join Walk & Talk Charleston on a guided Church Street tour spanning from the Battery to St. Philip’s Church. These blocks boast one of the densest concentrations of historic architecture in the city.

We’ll walk through neighborhoods that were once home to historic figures and out-of-the-ordinary characters. Along Church Street, you’ll have the opportunity to admire an abundance of architectural styles—from contemporary to Colonial—and observe the wide range of city life, including residential housing, commercial spaces, and places purposefully built for education, faith, and entertainment. Learn to read Charleston’s history through its architectural evolution.
