The Aiken-Rhett House (c. 1820), located at 48 Elizabeth Street, is open 7 days a week from 10 am to 5 pm. You may visit anytime within those hours as we do not have reserved starting times. However, we do ask that you plan to arrive and start your tour before 4:15 pm to allow enough time before the museum closes at 5 pm.
For groups of 12 or more, please call the house manager to reserve a tour. Discounts apply.
Plan Your Visit:
- Tours will be guided by our multi-media app and will take approximately 45 minutes. The latest time to start a tour is 4:15 pm as museums close at 5 pm.
- Each person will be asked to use earphones as a courtesy to others.
- Prepare in advance for your tour by downloading HCF’s FREE APP onto your personal device. You may use an HCF audio device if you bring your own earphones.

Combination Ticket:
Visitors who are interested in visiting both museum houses (Nathaniel Russell and Aiken-Rhett) can save by purchasing a combination ticket. Tickets are redeemable for six months from purchase date.
Combo tickets to both houses do not need to be used on the same day. Consider visiting both museums to experience the unique and different preservation methods at work in each museum.
